The representative calmly talks him into testing how stretchy it is by giving himself wedgies, and points out the many benefits of having super-stretchy underwear. "Well, Susan, I can't really imagine being chased by a gang of college freshmen intent on giving me wedgies. But yes, I can see how wearing stretchy underwear would be great in that very specific situation." Susan has Richard give himself wedgies in all kinds of different configurations and directions. If she can't get him to see how wedgie-proof underwear is perfect for him, at least she can try to run out the clock on the return window.
